Direct Support Professional

DSPs are responsible for giving personal care, following individual’s plans, providing household services, and participating in identified individual care activities under the supervision of the Program Manager. They understand the philosophy, purpose, policies and objectives, and standards of Hope Human Services and provides care in conformance with these established standards and policies. Successful applicants will be able to work as part of a cohesive team and will always treat the people we support with dignity and respect.
Lead Direct Support Professional
Lead DSP’s hold more responsibility through support to the program manager. These duties can include float days in office to help ensure medical, medication, and shift change documentation is completed fully and accurately. Ensuring houses have proper supplies, coach new staff on duties, med disposal, safety checklists, as well as being a point of communication between staff and program managers.
Additional duties can include giving personal care, following an individual’s plans, providing household services, and participating in identified individual care activities under the supervision of the Program Manager. Understanding the philosophy, purpose, policies and objectives, and standards of Hope Human Services and provides care in conformance with these established standards and policies. House Manager
The House Manager participates as a member of the management team in maintaining quality and continuity of care for our Licensed Staff Residential home(s) (LSR), otherwise known as our youth program. The person in this position will, along with other members of the management team, provide leadership and guidance, provide oversight to direct support professionals, work very closely with families of the clients, as well as the applicable state agencies for each client. They are responsible for staff development; parent and family education; learning individual’s care prior to admittance and educating others on care; assisting with housing for individuals and admits, and working collaboratively with all other disciplines to ensure all needs are met for the individuals. Due to the nature of this program the House manager has a higher level of responsibility when developing and maintaining the needs of the clients with more oversight from parents/guardians/ families, as well as state agencies involved in the individual’s care. The House Manager also supervises, schedules and is responsible for education and orientation on the individual’s plans, and forms for documentation for all staff within the LSR program. Additionally, the House Manager participates in rotating on call responsibilities including providing support 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

Schedules staff for program and responsible for education and orientation on the individual’s plans, and forms for documentation. Participates in rotating, on call responsibilities providing support 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
